Isle of Man Post Office: Apology & retraction

Post&Parcel published an article on 4 March under the headline: “Yes” to strike vote in Isle of Man. This article was factually incorrect and was published in error. It has now been removed from our website.

A ballot over pay is currently running by the CWU in the Isle of Man; however the ballot does not close until 16 March. Therefore until this date no outcome to the ballot will be known.

Furthermore, Post&Parcel reported that Isle of Man Post Office and the Union have clashed over pay, job security and the future of the post office network. This is not the case – the CWU’s grievance regarding Isle of Man Post Office is about the freeze on all public sector pay budgets only.

Post&Parcel apologises to Isle of Man Post Office, and is sorry for any inconvenience caused.
