New CEO for Tourline Express
Spanish operator Tourline Express has appointed Arménio Belo da Silva as its new CEO. The new head will take over from Miguel Angel Baker, who after 17 years at the company, has decided to pursue new projects.
In his new role, Belo da Silva will assume national direction of Tourline Express and will direct the company’s strategic plan – including its commitment to enhance service quality and to pursue the creation of new products and services.
The operator will also look to boost its ‘Iberian project’ – Tourline’s plan to unify the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
It is hoped that the new directive will help consolidate the company’s reputation as “one of the most solid and reliable alternative parcel carriers” in the region.
Previously, Belo da Silva has been director and chairman of CTT-Correios de Macao, chief executive of the Macao Telecommunications Company, president of Campos Envelopagem Group, and a Mailtec Postcontacto advisor.
Furthermore, within the CTT Group he has held senior positions in the areas of marketing and sales.
At the same time, Tourline Express announced a structural reorganisation of its regional network. The company will streamline its communications model with the appointment of a new commercial operations director.
The restructuring process will “optimise corporate processes of communication between the central management of the company and the entire branch network,” the company said.
