Totalpost Services acquires returned mail specialist

UK-based mailroom solutions company Totalpost Services has announced the acquisition of returned mail specialist Veridata. Veridata was founded in 1996 and delivers automated, quick turn-around processing services for returned and undelivered mail from throughout the UK and Europe on behalf of a range of clients including international banks and catalogue companies.

The business has now been integrated as Totalpost’s ‘Returned Mail division’ creating a new standard in end-to-end mail management and processing services which will be based at operations centres in Warrington and Swindon.

“The combination of established expertise and leading edge technology will enable us to raise the bar on returned and gone away mail processing standards and help clients reduce cost and enhance their environmental performance,” said Totalpost Services managing director David Hymers (pictured far right).

“This acquisition represents a major increase in the scale of our operations and facilities and enables us to add value to the services we deliver to our existing clients.”

Veridata founder Kirsty Craig (pictured centre) added: “The benefits of having a specialist managing returned mail are enormous.

“The whole process means that companies will save money, time and help the environment through carbon neutral and confidential disposal of waste with no added charges for discarding to landfill.”
