Hermes extends next-day cut-off time in UK

Parcel carrier Hermes has extended its cut-off time for next-day deliveries in the UK. The company has moved the cut-off time back to 9pm to give retailers added flexibility within their multichannel supply chains, Hermes said.

Parcel traffic entering both Hermes’ northern and southern hubs will benefit from the later cut-off time.

Jon Tobbell, commercial director at Hermes (pictured), said: “We are continually looking at ways of enhancing our service to retailers to improve the delivery experience to their customers.

“The later cut-off time is just one of a number of planned service innovations this year that will add real value to our unique delivery proposition.”
