Panalpina spread their presence across Hungary and Czech Republic
The globally active Panalpina Group has expanded its branch network again: Since October, the logistics group has had its own operational organizations in Hungary and the Czech Republic.
The two offices located in Budapest and Prague, offer the complete range of Panalpina services, including customs clearance, to both domestic and international clients.
In addition to acquiring new customers in Hungary and the Czech Republic, the organizations will focus on expanding their services in the key sea freight and airfreight fields as well as providing the associated supply chain management solutions. They will also provide services in the rail freight and project management fields.
Numerous multinational companies, notably in the automotive, high tech and semiconductor industries, are represented in both countries, including a large number of long-standing Panalpina clients. These companies will now benefit all the more from the continuing eastward expansion of Panalpina’s airfreight network.
Panalpina had been active in Hungary and the Czech Republic together with partners for some years. But now that they have their own operating organizations, these countries are fully integrated into the Group’s global forwarding and logistics network.
Johann Winzer, the Managing Director of Panalpina Austria who is now also in charge of the two new organizations, is delighted by this prospect: “It means that we can fully meet our customers’ individual needs and provide them with a top-quality service.” And, as Winzer also points out: “We now have full control of the entire logistics chain, including all the interfaces. This is especially important for our intercontinental door-to-door services”.
The Panalpina Group Panalpina is one of the world’s leading providers of forwarding and logistics services. The Group focuses on global, integrated logistics services, offering its clients comprehensive supply chain management solutions.
