UK bulk mail specialist to launch additional delivery options

UK postal operator Secured Mail is preparing to launch a new unaddressed mail delivery service and a first-class delivery option. The Warrington-based company, which specialises in collecting and processing bulk mail and packets before making use of Royal Mail for final mile delivery, said it was looking to diversify its offering and boost its reputation as a bespoke postal operator.

The unaddressed mail service is called Home Delivery. It comes with full visibility and competitive prices, Secured Mail said.

The new first class service promises to provide faster delivery with the offer of a next-day delivery.

Both new services will be launched in early 2012, the company said today.

Tom Kilroy (pictured right), sales and business development director at Secured Mail, said the new services were part of his company’s efforts to respond to customer needs in the marketplace.

“By differentiating ourselves from our competitors we are able to continually innovate and respond to customer feedback in a positive, proactive way,” he said.

“We continue to grow rapidly in a very competitive marketplace. I am confident this will further enhance our overall offering as we strive to become the postal provider of choice for UK businesses.”

Secured Mail, which was formed in 2006 and describes itself as the third largest postal operator in the UK, said its new services come on the back of fresh contract wins that has seen expectations for a turnover in 2010-11 that is “well up” on the GBP 32m achieved in 2009-10.

The company has the capacity to deliver 10m items a night for clients including American Express, Domino’s Pizza and Majestic Wines.
