Austrian Postal Service looks at Slovenia

Osterreichische Post AG, the Austrian postal service company, is looking to buy into the Slovenian express parcels market from April of next year. It is currently building up its subsidiary with Slovinian Parcel Service, and hopes to be in the black by 2005.

The company expects to achieve turnover of 700,000 euros next year, reaching break-even by 2005, at 3.5m euros, building up to around 5m euros by 2007. It is hoped that this will give it annual surplus of around 567,000 euros. Abstracted from Wirtschaftsblatt Abstracted from Wirtschaftsblatt in German.
