PostNexus Perfects E-To-Post Communications

Personalized postal mail communications is a powerful way for business to retain and attract customers, but traditionally, only industry juggernauts could absorb the high cost of building and maintaining the infrastructure to support in-house mailing, while businesses that outsource printed communications have had to sacrifice customization and speed for cost effectiveness," said David Goldstein, president and chief executive officer of PostNexus. "By seamlessly integrating with existing applications, pMail levels the playing field. For the first time, midrange enterprises can realize the benefits of personalized postal mail communications with no infrastructure investment, and without having to make the costly trade-offs that come with outsourcing. With pMail, businesses can leverage the efficiency of automation, the effectiveness of personalization and the reach and impact of postal mail to strengthen relationships with existing customers and establish a meaningful dialogue with prospective new customers."

pMail addresses the "messaging paradox…"

Businesses prefer electronic communications because they can be automated, are easily customized and are far less expensive than preparing and sending physical mail. However, customers prefer to receive certain information in printed, tangible form, especially billing and financial documents, or lengthy, graphic-rich materials. Add to this the fact that more than 50 percent of U.S. adults do not have an email address, and it's easy to understand the business impact of what PostNexus calls the "messaging paradox:" The most efficient means of communication for the sender is not always preferred by or available to the recipient.

"In today's hyper-competitive market, success often hinges on a business' ability to establish and maintain 'high-touch' communications with existing and prospective customers," said Goldstein. "Before pMail, true, one-to-one personalized communication was only feasible in the electronic medium. In essence, pMail brings together the best of both worlds–the ease and flexibility of e-communications and the heightened impact, effectiveness and reach of personalized postal mail."

How pMail works…

The pMail process starts by integrating with existing applications using industry-standard tools and protocols such as SMTP and XML. Personalized, digital documents created using pMail-enabled applications are then transmitted via the Internet to the PostNexus data center, where a fully automated printing, finishing and mailing process ensures secure, cost-efficient same-day mailing.

The total flexibility of pMail creates unprecedented opportunities for one-to-one, mass-personalized written communications, printed and mailed on demand. pMail-enabled applications can produce folded letters, flats (unfolded documents), and glossy postcards. Documents can be imaged in either crisp black & white or vibrant full color.

PostNexus markets its patent-pending pMail technology directly to corporate enterprises and to publishers of business productivity software whose applications generate printed documents that can be sent by postal mail.
