Poste Italiane's SDA (Express) Takes 100% of EPI

January 29, 2002 — Reuters: “Italy’s anti-trust authority has given Italian post office-owned express courier SDA permission to take 100 percent control of fellow Italian courier EPI – Trans Bank Service, the authority said. SDA had previously owned a 30 percent stake in EPI – Trans Bank Service. In its ruling, the anti-trust authority said that EPI – Trans Bank Service saw turnover of 2.3 million euros in 2000 and held a 0.1 percent share of the Italian express courier market. The Italian post office, it added, held a 19.7 percent share of the market in 2000.”
