Exel 2001 contracts bring in more than $400 million

Key contracts in 2001 include: Multiple agreements with Unilever, a global producer of deodorants, fragrances, frozen foods, margarine, soap and tea products. Exel will oversee warehouse management services at Unilever locations.
Exel reached a long-term agreement to provide distribution center warehousing to the Coors Brewing Co.
Furthermore, Exel Direct, the big-ticket home delivery and product fulfillment arm of Exel, was awarded a five-year contract to coordinate the transportation, distribution and motor contract carrier services for Maytag.
Home Depot’s new three-year contract calls for Exel to provide cross-docking services for four of the home improvement retailer’s transit facilities.
Moreover, in the healthcare sector, Exel provides eastern logistics support for Geneva Pharmaceuticals.
