Norway Post to adopt new structure from October
Norway Post has said it is adopting a new structure from 1st October, to strengthen the Group’s competitiveness and customer orientation. The new structure includes a new division for distance selling to strengthen efforts in the rapidly growing distance selling market.
The new corporate structure means greater national organization for logistics segment, among other things, to create conditions more conducive to take out additional economies of scale. In addition, the company has established a separate division for distance selling with product and customer responsibility to strengthen efforts in the rapidly growing distance selling market.
“The aim is that by 2015 we will be a Nordic, integrated and industrialized group,” said Dag Mejdell, the Norway Post CEO.
Post Group’s new structure and management of 1 October is as follows:
- Post Division is headed by Executive Director Gro Bakstad.
- Logistics Division Norway includes all logistics operations in Norway (packages, Cargo, Frigo and Warehousing), and all activities outside the region. The division is headed by Executive Director Tore K. Nilsen.
- Logistics Division Norden include logistics operations in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and Bring Express. The division is headed by Executive Director Tim Jørnsen that will establish a management division, based in Stockholm.
- Distance Trade Division is responsible for the provision and development of services, and customer responsible for the largest Nordic distance selling customers. The position of executive vice president and head of the Division Dist sale being advertised.
Post’s executive management will 1 October consist of executive directors of the four divisions, in addition to CEO Dag Mejdell and CFO / Finance Tone Wille, Chief HR / HSE Randi Løvland and Chief Communications Elisabeth H. Gjølme.
