P2P Mailing launches ecommerce fulfillment division

UK parcel and logistics company P2P Mailing Ltd has launched a new dedicated e-commerce fulfillment and distribution division, called P2P e-logistics. The Essex-based firm is aiming the new service at online UK retailers with the proposition of helping them reach new markets overseas, as well as targeting foreign retailers looking to expand their business within the UK and Europe.

The new division promises a “complete fulfillment and distribution package”, with the offer of basic services including secure warehouse storage, online inventory management, order processing, pick and pack, and an “extensive range” of online reports.

It also offers a full range of trackable and non-trackable distribution services, P2P said.

P2P e-logistics uses bespoke technology and modern, secure warehouses for its services, while customers will receive personalised account management, it said.

The new division responds to the strong growth in ecommerce in the UK and Europe, with P2P e-logistics managing director Michael Fletcher explaining that it builds on P2P’s existing distribution know-how to help online retailers capitalise on the opportunities.

“Access to highly competitive transportation costs and new levels of service will enable customers to gain a competitive edge in their markets,” he said.

“Our ethos as a company is to work in partnership with our customers and become an essential arm to the success of their business, constantly reviewing their distribution requirements and developing tailor-made services to meet their specific requirements.”

Outsourcing

P2P e-logistics said it has already started attracting interest from growing businesses. Newstart company Smart Electronics is one of those signing up recently to P2P e-logistics.

Scott Tibbles, director of the company formed under a year ago, said handling around 600 orders a month meant he needed an outsourcing partner for fulfillment.

“Outsourcing the logistics process to P2P e-Logistics has given me the opportunity to concentrate on designing, purchasing and marketing new products, as well as reducing my costs,” said Tibbles.

“The feedback from my customers regarding the speed and quality of the distribution service has been outstanding and gives me great confidence for the future growth of my business.”

P2P Mailing launched a new trackable shipping service for low-value goods last month, in partnership with parcel shipping management specialist GFS.
