Business Post sticks with parcels as its core activity

UK express business parcels will remain the core activity of Business Post, despite its recent diversification into new areas.
This announcement follows the news that the company has seen its pre-tax profit increase by 17,8% to £6.7m in the six months ending September 30.
In September the company commenced a 5 year contract with Fedex to act as its global service partner in the UK. On November 20, UK Mail, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Business Post was granted a one year trial licence by Postcomm, the postal services regulator, to deliver UK business mail.
Business Posts Chairman Peter Kane says: Over the next few years, the Fedex contract and other initiatives currently underway or identified by the strategic review should create significant growth.
