Industry Moves – Appointments at PostNL, Austrian Post, Vanderlande, Secured Mail

Some of the latest appointments within the global mail and express industry, including a new chairman at Austrian Post, a new Group HR Director at PostNL and new senior business development managers at Secured Mail…

Roger Muys appointed PostNL Group HR Director

PostNL has said Roger Muys is taking over as group human resources director as of 1st November, ahead of the retirement of Gérard Aben.

Aben is retiring as of 1st March 2013, giving four months of overlap with Muys to allow for a “smooth transition”. However, Aben is stepping down from the PostNL Board of Management as of next month as part of a restructuring of the board in which his place will not be refilled.

Muys brings broad experience from the human resources field to his new role, PostNL said, including time in several management and international functions for the likes of Carlsberg Breweries, Philips and General Electric.

Austrian Post elects HP’s Rudolf Kemler as chairman

Austrian Post’s Supervisory Board has elected HP Austria managing director Rudolf Kemler as chairman, effective 1st November, 2012.

Kemler, 56, succeeds Markus Beyrer, who is retiring at the end of this month.

The new Austrian Post chairman has been managing director at HP’s Austrian division since 2008, and since 2002 has been chairman of the management board at Deutsche Telekom’s T-Systems Austria business. During the 1990s he was at Siemens in roles within Siemens Nixdorf in Vienna.
