CFH acquires print and mail firm Print for Business
UK-based print and mailing company CFH Ltd has acquired print and mail business in Slough, England, for an undisclosed amount. Print For Business (PFB) was established in 1992, and currently employs 33 staff providing document services for various market sectors with a GBP 4.5m annual turnover.
CFH, which is based near Bath, operates the Docmail hybrid mail service and launched a new local postal delivery company this summer in the Bristol area, Docmail Local Post.
It said its acquisition of PFB would provide additional transactional mailing volumes and other document customers including election-based mail.
PFB is the second acquisition by CFH in little over a year, after the purchase of FST Technologies in Livingston, Scotland.
CFH said it would maintain the Print for Business trading name for the Slough-based operation, as it has for FST Technologies in Scotland, which has now been fully integrated into the group.
Synergy
Dave Broadway, the CFH managing director (pictured right), said there was good synergy between his company and the new acquisition.
“PFB provides additional volume in terms of transactional mailing in both public and private sectors, as well as other strategic document mailings, including electoral work, which is a growth area for CFH,” he said.
Broadway said his company would continue to look for acquisitions of other transactional mail companies in other areas of the UK.
The company currently has a turnover of around GBP 25m a year, employing 200 people at its headquarters in Radstock, Somerset, and in Livingston, to provide print and mailing services for more than 10,000 small and large business clients.
Following the latest acquisition, Paul Foley, the PFB managing director, will oversee integration of his business into CFH, as well as continuing with the company in a sales capacity.
Foley said: “Over the last 20 years PFB has established a reputation for its quality and breadth of offering. We are now looking forward to this new phase of development with CFH, which will create new and exciting opportunities for our business.”
