UPS Logistics wins contract with Cosco

Cosco, international wholesaler, has selected UPS Logistics Group UK to provide a nominated carrier service with the aim of significantly improving cost and time efficiences for retailers. UPS will manage the collection, consolidation and delivery of all Costco product stock from suppliers throughout Europe.
Under the UPS Logistics nominated carrier scheme, goods will be validated and consolidated at the groups Derbyshire plant before being transferred to Costcos national distribution centre at Magna Park in Leicestershire.
Ian Chalmers, distribution and transport manager, Costco UK, says: the time saved by appointing a nominated carrier like UPS Logistics is invaluable to a company such as Costco. We needed an organisation that could manage Costcos everyday inventory requirements, while continuing to satisfy our customers demands within short timeframes.
