Schenker integrates activities

Schenker BTL and Schenker International have fully integrated their activities in the Dutch market from 1 January this year.
The two companies activities have now been brought under one umbrella and will be managed centrally. A spokesman for the company said: “Activities will be integrated into one organisation with a common infrastructure, enabling customers real one-stop-shoping. They will provide land transport, air and sea freight and all the associated logistics services from a single source.“
The new organisation will employ about 1,000 employees and will have an annual turnover of approximately 180 million euros. Theo Damen, CEO of the organisation said: “The new Schenker structure in the Netherlands is quickly taking shape. It will give us the opportunity to perform an even better service to our customers, especially when it comes to comprehensive supply chain management projets.“
