Polish logistics market increases by 20 percent

Just six months after acquiring a depot in Poland, the Overland division of logistics specialist Allport reckons it has seen a 20 per cent increase in business levels in the Polish market.
The encouraging results, in generally difficut market conditions, has ‘confirmed the cornpanys belief in Poland as a gateway to Eastern Europe’ and ‘will stimulate significant further investment in road, sea and air infrastructure
Allport’s activity in Poland stretches back many years and, in 1997, the company acquired transport operator DarTrans. The local depot. which includes a bonded warehouse facility and a resident Customs officer, has been owned by Allport only since summer, 2001. ‘Our success in Eastern Europe, Greece and Turkey is based on building strong partner relationships, many of which have lasted in excess of ten years,’ says Danny Regan, director of Overland. This is because we have invested in an infrastructure which allows us to tailor our service.’
