CPD Logistics wins first automotive contract

CPD Logistics, the Warwickshire-based logistics and distribution company, has won its first
contract in the automotive field.The company will hold and supply car seat assemblies for
Honda to be delivered daily on a just-in-time basis to Johnson Controls factory near
Leamington Spa.
The contract will quickly build up to eight 45 foot lorry deliveries a day leaving the 80,000 sq ft of warehousing that CPD Logistics has set aside for the contract, supplying 528 complete seat assemblies for Honda s 23 different models.
CPD Logistics MD Steve Booker said: This contract is a highly important one for us as it sees us establishing a foothold in a new market—one that we believe we can grow into a significant area of our business.
