UPS to invest $32-million in Vancouver airport

United Parcel Service is spending $32-million on a new facility at the Vancouver airport. The 125,000-square-foot plant is expected to open in early 2004 and will bring under one roof the operations of three of the city’s four plants with room for 400 employees, an increase of 100 from the company’s current staff in the city. The plant will be UPS’s second largest in Canada after Toronto and incorporate new technology for tracking and handling packages.
