TNT Express UK Ltd Selects Peak-Ryzex for New Managed Services Contract

Peak-Ryzex has won a significant contract with TNT Express to support the upgrade of in-cab mobile worker technologies across the company’s UK-wide fleet. Under the contract, Peak-Ryzex will manage more than 10,000 devices, including 2500 new Motorola Solutions PDAs, in what represents one of the largest mobile managed services contracts signed in the UK.

The mobile worker technology will provide high-speed wireless connections between TNT Express’ depots and drivers, while giving greater access to real-time tracking information.

“Upgrading our mobile working technologies and connectivity with drivers will further improve the efficiency of our network. The more real-time information we have about where packages are, and the quicker we can deliver them, the better the service will be that we ultimately provide our customers,” says Alistair Cochrane, TNT Express UK Ltd’s Managing Director.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this important managed service contract,” says Damian Penney, MD Europe, Peak-Ryzex. “We believe that our excellent past working relationship with TNT Express, our global reach and mobility capabilities has no doubt helped towards this latest partnership. Our acquisition of mobility provider Movilitas Consulting AG earlier this year means that we now have the advantage of expanding the depth of our offering and long term value for customers.”

Peak-Ryzex provides end-to-end enterprise mobility, managed services, printing and mobile data capture solutions for performance-driven organisations focused on the optimisation of supply chain and field-based business processes.
