MetaPack Group and InPost join forces

The MetaPack Group, the provider of ecommerce technology for delivery services, and InPost, the global operator of 24/7 automated self-service parcel lockers, announced today that InPost will join MetaPack’s delivery management platform. This will enable retailers to offer more flexible and convenient delivery options to their customers. MetaPack’s technology helps retail brands simplify the management of delivery services and roll out new delivery options, such as Sunday service, same day delivery and click and collect.

InPost’s automated parcel delivery service will be brought onto MetaPack’s Dynamic Delivery Options platform. This enables retailers to allow their consumers to customise, in real time, deliveries based on time of the day, product and delivery location including secure pick-up locations and click and collect services.

By bringing on board InPost’s delivery service, MetaPack will enable its retail customers to offer delivery options based on InPost’s growing network of parcel collection points in the UK.

With over 1,000 collection points in the UK, InPost offers retailers and online shoppers the opportunity to send, receive and return goods at any time and any day of the year. The service has been growing rapidly in the past 18 months with new collection points emerging at London Underground stations and store chains such as Morrisons and Toys R Us.

“MetaPack is totally focused on how it can help retailers offer customers the choice and freedom they want when having their online purchases delivered. Click and collect is a great innovation and we’re pleased to play our part in making it easier for retailers to take advantage of InPost’s expanding network of lockers. We see huge potential for this delivery model alongside other alternatives such as Sunday service that will become available to retailers and their customers in coming months,” said Simon Croft, carrier account director at MetaPack.

Michelle De Pasquale, commercial director at InPost, commented: “We offer flexibility both to consumers and also retailers who can’t necessarily use their stores to provide better delivery options and more convenience available 24/7. Our service, combined with MetaPack’s delivery management platform, will enable us to drive the growth of click and collect in the UK and ultimately help retailers ensure better customer experience.”
