TPG and Unions reach agreement on new CAO

TPG (TNT Post) and negotiators from the unions reached an agreement on a new collective labor agreement (CAO) for TPG employees in the Netherlands.

‘The new CAO has a term of 12 months and will run from 1 May 2002 to 1 May 2003. Salaries will be increased by 3.5 percent with effect from 1 June 2002.

The profit share over 2002 will also be increased by 1 percent for this year only, representing a total profit share of 4 percent. An additional one‑off award of 0.3 percent, with a minimum of _ 64 (gross), has also been agreed. For part‑time employees, the award will be adjusted in proportion to the number of hours worked.

Agreements have also been reached on a number of other points, including an increased budget for childcare facilities and the inclusion in the pensionable salary of the monthly fixed allowance for job‑related contracts.

The improved employment conditions apply to the 65,000 employees of TPG Post (including Saturday staff) and TNT in the Netherlands, and also to TPG Head Office.’
