German logistics: road haulage makes up 39% of market

Road haulage dominates the German transport logistics market, with a 39% share of the market. Distribution is the joint second largest sector, accounting for 13% of the market. The German contract logistics industry has yet to make the impression it has in the UK, with most manufacturers and retail likely to use simple haulage companies.
