Delivery app developer secures funding for expansion

California-based Onfleet recently raised $2 million of investment which it will use to expand the roll-out of its app for delivery companies. The app allows delivery companies to maintain communications between the “home base” and the couriers, as well as providing recipients with an interface through which they can track their deliveries.

Onfleet, which was founded by a team of engineers at Stanford University, has mainly been targeting small startup companies so far. However, co-founder and CEO Khaled Naim said that the company is now looking to attract large “enterprise clients” as well.

In addition to expanding its client base, Onfleet has plans to roll out new features for its app, such as driver behaviour analytics, driver background checks and route optimisation.
