Canada Post teams with Crawford Technologies to connect high-volume mailers to epost

Canada Post has formed a new partnership to make it easier for large companies to make use of its digital mail service, epost. The company has teamed with Toronto-based Crawford Technologies to make use of its expertise in high-volume document processing software.

The goal is to simplify the process of integrating high-volume mailers with the epost digital mail platform.

Canada Post said the epost solution bundle offered by Crawford Technologies means that files that are created for printing and mailing purposes can be converted into PDF and associated XML files to be used in the epost system.

Susie De Franco, General Manager of epost at Canada Post, said millions of Canadians are now using the epost platform as a secure digital mail delivery system as they shift away from traditional communications to digital alternatives.

“By partnering with experts in cloud-based solutions such as Crawford Technologies, we continue to evolve the most convenient and secure consolidating platform on the market,” she said.

Canada Post’s epost service was originally launched back in the year 2000 as mainly a bill consolidation service for people to manage their utility bills online. The service was relaunched in 2012 as a full digital mailbox service offering more functionality including the sending and receiving of important documents securely.

Crawford Technologies said its new epost solution would be easy for customers already using its software to provide a digital alternative for their mail delivery.

“Our goal is to provide cost-effective solutions that make it easier for companies to offer digital choices to their consumer base,” said Ernie Crawford, President of Crawford Technologies.

“Our Canadian customers find this an easy add-on to their existing Crawford Technologies software. New customers have told us they find this epost solution easy to install and configure.”
