Poste Italiane signs deal for financial products to be offered at post offices

Poste Italiane has signed a partnership with Anima Holding for the development of new financial products that will be offered at post offices across Italy. Poste Italiane bought a 10% stake in Anima in April.

As previously reported, the Italian government is planning to sell about 40% of Poste Italiane in an initial public offering (IPO) in October.

As part of its new five-year business strategy announced in 2014, Poste Italiane is aiming to reduce its reliance on mail delivery and boost its activities in other, potentially more profitable, areas.
