Palletways welcomes Canterbury-based logistics firm

Salvatori, which is based in Aylesham Industrial Estate, has joined Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, in order to boost further expansion. The firm will handle up to 500 pallets in and around Canterbury and Ashford.

Salvatori was founded around 80 years ago and today has a 70 strong vehicle fleet working from its three bases in depots in Canterbury, Rochester and Calais. The move will support the continued growth of the company, which employs more than 100 people.

The firm’s Founder and Director, Daniel Salvatori, said: “Being part of Palletways will enable us to have access to state-of-the-art IT systems which are far more advanced than the competition. The IT platform in place will allow us to see where our customers’ pallets are at any given time and will help us enhance customer and operational excellence.

“Palletways is really ahead of the game and we look forward to the numerous opportunities that being part of the network affords.”

Luis Zubialde, Managing Director at Palletways UK ltd added: “Salvatori is one of six new members to join our UK network and I am pleased to welcome them. Demand for our palletised freight services has risen rapidly over recent months and we look forward to drawing in their experience to grow our business even further in the South East of England.”
