Delivery workers at Google Express Palo Alto facility vote to join union

Warehouse and shipping workers at the Google Express delivery centre in Palo Alto voted on Friday (21 August) to join the Teamsters union. According to a statement issued by the Teamsters, there was a “strong majority” in favour of joining the union.

As previously reported, Google Express appears to have decided to close two of its other hubs in California, at Mountain View and San Francisco, but sources report that the company intends to keep the Palo Alto facility operational.
