DHL opens new facility in UAE’s Al Ain

DHL Express has opened a new service centre in the United Arab Emirates. Local sources report that the new facility, located in Al Ain’s Hili Industrial Area, complements recently opened units in Abu Dhabi and Meydan which are used to sort and distribute deliveries. The Al Ain facility also features a retail service point.

Frank-Uwe Ungerer, the Country Manager for DHL Express, was quoted as saying: “DHL has a very strong presence in the UAE, which is a major gateway for the Middle East to the rest of the world.

“As the country’s economy goes from strength to strength, it is important to remember that growth is not limited to major cities such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but can be seen across the emirates in cities such as Al Ain.

“DHL is responding to this growth, as we are keen to continuously evolve our service and operational capacity in order to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.”
