DIT Duisburg Intermodal GmbH
DIT Duisburg Intermodal GmbH was founded in Duisburg at the end of May. The terminal operator will start operations on October 1 this year and will be responsible for marketing and managing the eponymous terminal, which is situated in the Logport area of Duisburg-Rheinhausen. The awarding authority for the construction contract and investor is Hafen Duisburg-Rheinhausen GmbH, which launched a tender competition for the projects construction in November 2001. Partner in the operating company are the UK based P&O group and the Rhenus group with a stake of 37.5% each and Duisburger Hafen AG with 25%. The capacity of the first phase is 200,000 TEU.
