Delhi delivery provider Shadowfax buys Pickingo

The Delhi-based on-demand delivery service provider Shadowfax has bought its smaller competitor Pickingo, according to local reports.
As part of the deal, Shadowfax will be taking on Pickingo’s management team and office staff and its network of a few hundred delivery boys.

According to local sources, Pickingo has been providing last-mile logistics for some of India’s leading e-commerce players, such as Snapdeal. However, Pickingo reportedly ran into funding difficulties and was weakened when Zomato decided not to invest in the company, despite showing strong interest.

Shadowfax has looked at a range of e-commerce and reverse logistics businesses, but it has so far mainly focused on food delivery. The company delivers in Mumbai and Delhi and its clients include Pizza Hut, Subway and Yo! China.
