Chronopost launches fresh food delivery service

Chronopost has announced the launch of its “Chronofresh” fresh and frozen food express delivery service. A subsidiary of Le Groupe La Poste, Chronopost will be using a temperature-controlled supply chain to offer next-day delivery by 13:00 to locations throughout France (except Corsica) from Monday to Saturday.

From February 2016, evening deliveries will be offered in eight French cities: Lille, Lyon , Rennes, Montpellier , Toulouse, Nantes, Bordeaux , Strasbourg. The company will also be offering customers the opportunity to select two-hour windows for their deliveries.

The service will also offer traceability and temperature-monitoring.

A hub in Brie-Comte-Robert, equipped with two temperature-controlled rooms, will be at the heart of the new service. The produce will be delivered using a fleet of refrigerated vehicles.
