ArrowXL appoints Business Development Director

Adam Jones has returned to ArrowXL as the company’s new Business Development Director, rejoining the firm where he honed his logistics career. He will work within the company’s commercial team focusing on its Platinum Home Delivery.

Jones previously worked at ArrowXL as a corporate account manager, before moving on as Head of Home Delivery and DIY Development at Wincanton.

He has also previously worked for DX, APC, Learning World and Technique Training.

Specialising in extra-large and bulky items, ArrowXL delivers goods requiring two-man service delivery teams.

Adam Jones said: “I have worked within logistics for the past decade, starting off in parcels then moving on to two-man home delivery.

“ArrowXL has been transformed over the last two years into the nation’s number one two-man fulfillment and delivery partner of choice, and I recognised there was a fantastic opportunity to rejoin the firm in a more senior role.”

Chief Executive Officer Ian Howell said: “We are delighted to welcome back Adam to take the helm of our Platinum service offering. This will be a key focus for the coming year at ArrowXL, which continues to innovate and lead the way in the two-man home delivery sector.”

ArrowXL has been established for 25 years and currently makes around 7,000 deliveries a day via four hubs, 23 satellite bases and 230 service delivery teams.

As well as six-day delivery and collections, the company provides a range of in-home services such as white goods connection, assembling flat-pack furniture and an unpacking, positioning and packaging removal service.
