Palletways to keep Lecico deliveries flowing

Lecico, the manufacturer of bathroom suites and fittings, has appointed Palletways to handle its deliveries to plumbers and builders merchants across the UK. Palletways expects to move in excess of 20,000 pallets annually for the firm.

Sean Klemis , supply chain director at Lecico, commented: “Our reputation is founded on design-rich, competitively priced sanitary ware that have been crafted to the highest manufacturing standards so it was important to partner with a logistics provider with the same credentials.

“What impressed us most was Palletways’ new Digital Information Hub. The online portal allows us see the current status of all of our consignments in real-time plus the new one-hour ETA function means our staff have access to time critical information which is important when responding to customer enquiries.”

Steve Waterhouse, business development director Palletways (UK) Limited, added: “The contract win is not just significant for Palletways UK but our member network too. Winning this business means we will be using expertise and resource from a number of our members, including H&M Distribution in Bedfordshire, who will undertake trunking from Lecico to our hub in Greenford and also Palletways London who will transport a number of trailers everyday to headquarters in the Midlands to assist with balances.”
