Flipkart working with last-mile delivery specialist dPronto
India’s e-commerce giant Flipkart has reached an agreement with last-mile delivery specialist dPronto. Set up by Rajiv Sharma, the ex-CEO of Airtel Enterprise, dPronto claims to be a delivery company with a social mission, as it provides jobs to underprivileged youths from rural India as part of its Empower Pragati programme.
Neeraj Agarwal, the senior director of delivery operations at Flipkart, told local mekda that the company “wanted to support the social objective of transforming lives of the less privileged youth through respectable jobs”.
