EU Commission approves the acquisition of Lufthansa Cargo’s shares of DHL
The EU Commission approved Deutsche Post World Net’s purchase of Lufthansa Cargo’s shares of DHL International, and thus an increase in ownership to over 75%.

Deutsche Post World Net plans to complete full acquisition of DHL by the end of this year. The control and full acquisition is strategically pivotal for DHL’s further integration as a key player at Deutsche Post World Net. The results are internationally applicable synergies on both the market and cost sides, which means significant value enhancement for the Group.
