US Justice Department investigating airlines’ mail carrying for USPS

The US Department of Justice has reportedly contacted a number of airlines regarding an investigation into mail carrying activities for the US Postal Service (USPS). Reports published by Reuters and the Associated Press (AP) on Friday (19 February) said that United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines have confirmed that they have received requests to provide information for the investigation.

There has been no official statement or comment from the Justice Department.
