FedEx joins opposition to CP-Norfolk merger

FedEx has joined the list of companies which have notified the US Surface Transportation Board about their objections to Canadian Pacific Railway’s proposed merger with Norfolk Southern. “FedEx Freight believes a merger would lead to diminished service as well as higher shipping costs,” the company said in a letter to the regulators, dated 25 Feb.

As previously reported, UPS also indicated its objections to the merger earlier this month.
