Successful first year for ACS’s new look OBC division

Air Charter Service has reported that its new look On Board Courier (OBC) service has had a successful first year, averaging almost two operations a day.
Oliver Weigelt, Time Critical Manager, commented: “The figures we produced were double our target for the first year, since the new investment in the department. In the past twelve months we performed almost 700 jobs, which was a lot more than even I expected, working out at an average of almost 60 each month, with the last three months of last year being especially busy, with more than 250 jobs.”

The majority of ACS’s worldwide offices benefitted from the additional service since the division had this refocussing early last year.

Weigelt continued: “The global reach of ACS has certainly helped to relaunch the service so spectacularly. One month we performed 92 jobs – that’s one every eight hours.

“We have added a number of new staff to cope with the overwhelming demand and moved to a new office in Frankfurt, from where we run the service. This year we are aiming for 1,000 jobs which, when we launched, was actually the target we hoped to reach by 2020.”
