PlateJoy and Instacart announce same-day grocery delivery tie-up

PlateJoy has teamed up with Instacart to offer a same-day food delivery service. PlateJoy operates an app which focuses on providing “healthy eating” options.

In a notice posted on its blog yesterday (3 May), PlateJoy said that the Instacart delivery is now available in 20 metro areas in the US: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boulder, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, Orange County, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

Users assemble their PlateJoy shopping list as normal, and then click on the “Send to Instacart” button. PlateJoy said that deliveries will be made ” in as little as one hour”.
