Correos topping up profits

Alberto Nunez Feijoo, chairman of Spanish post office Correos y Telegrafos, said the group expects to close 2003 with a profit of Euro 41.1m. This is 14.9% higher than the profit predicted for 2002 said nedia reports from inside the country.
The number of offices belonging to the post that offer a mobile card top-up service has also increased to 72 thanks to an agreement with department store chain El Corte Ingles. The aim of the agreement is for the post offices to sell more more telecommunications products and services, with the eventual goal of extending the service to all 1,900 of its offices.
