Deliveroo trialing subscription service in selected UK cities

Restaurant food delivery company Deliveroo has begun trialing a new subscription service, called Deliveroo Plus, in selected UK cities. Deliveroo Plus subscribers will pay a subscription of £8.99 a month or £89 a year – and will then not have to pay the £2.50 delivery charge on their orders.

The service is initially being launched in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Brighton, and York. Early subscribers will get two months for free.

Deliveroo also announced this week that it Wednesday that it is planning to hire 300 new tech staff to work in its London offices.
