SPPAL appoints new Chief Digitalization Officer

Frauke Heistermann will be the new Chief Digitalization Officer (CDO) at Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics GmbH (SPPAL). She will take up her new role on 1 March.

“Digitalization will sustainably change the economy, and it is progressing faster than any other industrial revolution in the past,” said Siemens. “The creation of this new strategic position highlights the importance of digitalization for the future of SPPAL.”

In her new role as CDO, Heistermann will define the strategic digitalization markets of the future and develop solutions and services for these markets.

Heistermann co-founded the company AXIT AG, which is now a subsidiary of SPPAL and has been renamed AXIT GmbH.
