Possible hike in Japanese parcel fees

Japan Post and Yamato are both mulling over price hikes for parcel deliveries, according to local sources. A report published by Japan Times on Wednesday (8 March), quoted “industry sources” as saying that Japan Post was considering a price increase for large clients due to a “surge” in online shopping packages.

The same article said that Yamato was reportedly asking major online retailers to pay more for their parcel shipping.
