UPS announces Flex Global View upgrades

UPS has announced upgrades to its Flex Global View management and visibility tool for multi-modal freight shipments. The upgrades include:

• New ocean container dashboard – A visibility dashboard specifically for ocean containers. Information about containers can be sorted by carrier, port of loading and unloading, shipper or receiver.
• Detailed Shipping Alerts – Flex Global View sends email alerts to customers regarding specific supply chain events associated with shipments and/or customs entries.  UPS said that these alerts will now include more shipment-specific details that were previously only available by logging into the system and searching for information.
• Better dashboards and reports – Flex Global View’s dashboards and reports have been reorganized making it easier for customers to find what they are looking for.
