Nightspeed delivering a top service
The firm, which has a branch on the Acorn Business Park in Nottingham, was named Parcel Carrier of the Year 2003 by its trade body, the Institute of Transport Management.
The independently owned company, which has 22 depots throughout the UK, isa based in Tipton, West Midlands.
Research conducted by the institute looked at the past five years’ winners as well as new arrivals.
Nightspeed was earmarked by Institute of Transport Management members as key to their distribution success.
Patrick Sheedy, institute media and PR director and chairman of the awards committee, said: “In recognising Nightspeed as Parcel Carrier of the Year 2003, during the institute’s silver jubilee, the ITM believes that it is recognising one of the most dedicated customer-orientated organisations to have ever received an ITM award.
“The institute salutes Nightspeed and wishes it and its management all the success it deserves.”

The firm was the subject of a management buy-out in July 2002 securing 1,100 jobs.
In 2001 and 2002 the company was voted UK Secure Parcel Carrier of the Year by the ITM.
