SF Express completes commercial drone deliveries

China’s SF Express has completed commercial drone deliveries in the southern area of Ganzhou in Jiangxi province. According to a report in the Financial Times, SF has also received China’s first drone airspace licence from the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

As previously reported by Post&Parcel, JD.com has been operating delivery drones in remote parts of Beijing’s municipality as well as the provinces of Sichuan, Jiangsu and Shaanxi. However, JD.com does not currently have a CAA airspace licence. Instead, it operates through individual agreements with local provincial governments.
