UK Palletways re-designs IT infrastructure

Overnight freight services provider Palletways is redesigning its IT infrastructure to improve the efficiency of business processes, facilitate business growth and future European expansion plans having commissioned IT solutions consultancy eSpida. Palletways existing in-house system, installed in each of the companys member depots two years came under strain from increased demand. eSpida proposed a cost-effective infrastructure redesign to improve the speed and reliability of communications between depots. That entailed creating a centralised data centre to give reliable access to the internet for web-browsing and online quiries. The new data centre speeds up the process of data transfer as well as reduces associated costs of processing delivery information through increased bandwidth capability. Customer quiries are also dealt with swiftly and accurately.
