Starship visit

Members of the London Assembly Transport Committee visited Starship Technologies’ offices in London today (1 November) to find out more about the company’s delivery robots.

According to a statement published on the London Assembly website,  the purpose of the visit was to discover the answer to questions like:

  • What potential do delivery droids have to take freight traffic off our roads
  • How do droids sense people coming out of buildings and cars?
  • What safeguards are in place to ensure droids are safe in the pedestrian environment?
  • How do droids interact with customers receiving deliveries?
  • How long will a droid wait for a customer to collect its parcel?

As previously reported, Starship has taken part in delivery trials in the London borough of Greenwich.
